Which Martial Art is your passion?

Hey,

Firstly, thank you once again for subscribing to WC+. I am going to be using this streaming platform going forward to upload exclusive never before seen videos, BTS footage and the entire Warrior Collective library for your viewing pleasure!

I figured this would make for a great point to start a conversation with you and find out which Martial Arts you enjoy training in and/or coaching? Which videos on WC+ and/or Warrior Collective do you enjoy and get the most out of?

Personally I love all Martial Arts but from a training/coaching point of view, the ones I am involved in most are Kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA and BJJ. Followed closely by Karate, Boxing, Wrestling and Taekwondo. At my gym in East Manchester (www.evademartialarts.co.uk if you want to learn more about it), I coach most of the Advanced striking based classes. I also cover BJJ, Wrestling and MMA if the resident coaches are off or if I am putting on extra sessions for athletes taking part in fight camps etc.

I would be really interested to know more about what brought you to WC+ and Warrior Collective so please drop me a comment below when you get 5 minutes!!

For coaching - Kickboxing/Muay Thai and Boxing.

For training - the same as above + BJJ and a little MMA. Our BJJ program at my gym incorporates some wrestling which I have a little background in from high school. Have taken an interest in studying catch wrestling as a supplement for my BJJ training.

Came here because of some of Barry Robinson's and some of Coach K from CSA's content.

I'm definitely excited to see what type of content becomes available and how this platform grows.

Great to hear from you Patrick! Sounds like we have very similar interests when it comes to actual training. You have fantastic taste! I love both Barry Robinson and Kirian Fitzgibbons a lot. I am sure you will more from both of them on here at some point. I head back to LA/San Francisco to film again in a few months so will definitely catch up with Coach K at that point.

I am really excited about WC+ because it allows me a platform to upload all sorts of amazing content and videos, as well as giving me different tools to play with once I am actually on location i.e. live streaming etc.

On a different note, don’t hesitate to ask if there is ever any particular coach, discipline or subject matter you would like to see covered more or uploaded for the first time here. I am headed back to Thailand next month and then the US (and possibly Canada) 4-6 weeks after I come back so have a few places on the books already. I would also like to visit a few new faces in the UK during this period as well!

I was thinking of maybe covering some bare knuckle boxing style training and coaching! What do you think to that?

I would love to see more coverage on bare knuckle boxing. Have been watching a lot of the BKFC stuff and realizing there are elements that apply to most other striking combat sports that don't seem to translate over as much. Lots of people throwing very wild shots. Dirty boxing in the clinch seems a bit different. With more leagues popping up and fighters transitioning from MMA and boxing I can only expect things to get more technical, but no less exciting.

Definitely looking forward to some new content with Coach K.

On a side note - I would like to see some of Coach Barry's content on the streaming platform as well.
